Hey, I'm Nick — a dad, software engineer, and amateur runner based in Ontario, Canada. FrugalNick started as a Ghost blog where I shared what I was learning about personal finance, and it's grown into a collection of free, practical tools and honest writing.

I believe financial literacy shouldn't require a finance degree. The calculators on this site are the same tools I built for myself — TFSA room tracking, tax estimation, compound interest visualization — and I'm sharing them because everyone deserves access to clear, no-BS financial tools.

This site is open source, self-hosted, and built with Astro, Svelte, and Tailwind CSS. No tracking, no ads, no paywalls.
